Division 2 leaders Blean A continued their dominance with a 8-1 home win over Choughs C, Tom Kwok and Paul Simmonds both recording three wins. Shorthanded Warriors 6 were edged out 5-4 by Blean B despite Shaun Reid and Linda Wickings winning two each, with Blean’s Kevin West doing likewise. With a 8-1 home win over Warriors 7, Bay F went third thanks to Graeme Sopp and Jim Burns recording three wins each. With the leaders winning earlier in the week, second-placed Bay E went to Warriors 5 and won 8-1 thanks to a clean treble by Steve Richardson, supported by three wins for Giulio Guariglia, though the match was tighter than the score suggests and 37 singles legs out of a possible 45 were played. Chestfield Warriors 1 climbed away from the bottom of the Premier Division, although they were edged out 5-4 at fourth-placed Faversham A. An excellent but hard earned 3-0 win by Matthew Emery over Ray Jordan saved lowly Heron B from being whitewashed by leaders Iron Room A. Three wins for Phil Morford and Kevin Powell ensured an 8-1 away win. Second-placed Hoath A kept up their title challenge with a 9-0 win at Herne Bay B. Barry Chapman, Simon Rudland and John Ferguson all recorded unbeaten trebles for the win. Adam Dyer was the hero with three wins for Division 1 leaders Warriors 3 in a 6-3 victory over visiting Choughs A. It was a frustrating night for Warriors 4 who suffered a 5-4 home defeat against secondplaced Bay C having led 4-3. Bob Edwards had three wins for Bay. Bay K are still looking for their first win of the Division 3 season after a 6-3 home defeat to secondplaced Warriors 8. Nobody could overcome a dominant Charles Harman who recorded a clean treble to earn the home team’s three points. Warriors 9 borrowed Lewis Marsh from Warriors 12 for their home tie against Blean C and his three wins proved crucial in a 5-4 win. Another team with a vacant spot were Warriors 11 who recruited George Marsh to play in their home match against Bay H. However, his three clean wins were in vain as his side lost 5-4. Warriors 10 are up into fourth place after a 9-0 whitewash over Bay I, courtesy of trebles from Bernard Ebeck, Peter Mccaig and Tim Platt. George and Lewis Marsh were back in action for Warriors 12 against Bay J and together with Rowan Brough inflicted a 9-0 whitewash to increase their lead at the top to 15 points. Warriors 13 and 15 faced each other in a Division 4 derby with 15 coming out on top 3-2 thanks to an unbeaten Ricky Kay Jnr.
