Second-placed Hoath A reduced the gap at the top of the Premier Division to 13 points with a 8-1 win over clubmates Hoath C.

The 100% record of Iron Room A was tested when they visited Herne Bay A. Bay’s Peter Roberts (3) was unbeaten and Ron Rowley added a fourth point as the home side were beaten 5-4.

Faversham A went third with a 7-2 home win over Heron B who could only raise two players.

Faversham had to borrow Nicolas Waters from Division 1’s Faversham B to field three players and he and Harry Law both won their games, adding four more wins to the gifted three points.

Two wins by Jackie Fok were all bottom club Herne Bay B could muster as they crashed to a 7-2 home defeat against improving Heron A.

Chestfield Warriors 4, who borrowed George Marsh from Warriors 12, must have felt reasonably confident of a home Division 1 win when Iron Room C arrived with only two players. However, the visitors had different ideas and won 5-4.

With a 5-4 away win over Herne Bay C, Faversham A moved to the top, just one point above Chestfield Warriors 3 who were without a game.

Iron Room B welcomed Herne Bay D for their mid-table clash and went down 5-4. An 8-1 home win for Chestfield Warriors 2 over bottom-butone Choughs A helped them maintain third place.

Despite some stern resistance from Herne Bay G, Chestfield Warriors 7 managed to pinch a 5-4 Division 2 away win. Blean B were their unfortunate victims. Their only point came from an excellent win by Kevin West over Crystal Tseng.

George Marsh, from Division 2, was called up by Chestfield Warriors 6 to fill a vacant spot in their team for their home fixture against Whitstable Natives B and he contributed two victories as the Warriors won 5-4.

A fine display by 12-year-old Lewis Marsh, borrowed from Warriors 12, helped mid-table Chestfield Warriors 5 beat third-placed Herne Bay F 7-2.

Chestfield Warriors 9, currently second bottom in Division 3, entertained the bottom club, Herne Bay K – who are still searching for their first league win – and won 5-4.

Chestfield Warriors 10 were the home team for their derby against Chestfield Warriors 8, who won 6-3.

Bottom of Division 4, Chestfield Warriors 16 came up against leaders Herne Bay L who eased to a 4-1 away win. A club derby match between Chestfield Warriors 15 and Chestfield Warriors 18 needed the match doubles to decide the winner.

Ricky Kay Jnr won both his games for Warriors 15 earning them two points and Jude Quiggen and Jackie Meese won a game each for their opponents.
