Aren’t policemen getting younger!
A nine-year-old has enjoyed the day out of his life after being treated to a tour of Canterbury police station.
Police-mad Caylan Todd, from Thanington, was shown round the New Dover Road site and rode in a patrol van after he met PC Sally Wright on the city’s streets.
The Wincheap Primary School pupil so impressed PC Wright that she invited him to visit on Monday. Caylan said: “I have always wanted to be a police officer because I like catching the bad guys.
“The best bit was going in the police van.”
PC Wright said: “Caylan told me how much he liked the police so I thought it would be nice to invite him over to the station.
“It is great to spread the word that we are about protecting people, not just arresting people.”
