Champions dominate opening match
Whitstable & District Darts Lge
The start of the Whitstable & District season saw reigning champions Monument B off to a flyer with a crushing 24-1 victory over British Legion Wanderers.
Barry Bell, Dan Parker, Malcolm Gallagher and Pete Gallagher all won five games.
Ian Ball took Wanderers’ only game, beating Steve Murray.
Last year’s runners-up, Two Brewers Q, made a slow start and were trailing before returning a 17-8 win against Two Brewers Tornadoes.
The Q racked up five 100-plus checkouts, with Ant Warren winning five games and achieving checkouts of 117 and 104.
Dave Cambourn and Steve Milward won four games each. Coach & Horses B are joint second with a 17-8 victory over Labour Club. Megan Crocombe, Ollie Crocombe and Steve Crow all won four games, while Robbie Luton captured five for the Labour Club.
Monument A started well with a 16-9 success over British Legion B. Pete Lawrence had five wins and Bill Boyce four.
Coach and Horses A edged out Labour Club Homeless 13-12. Joe Willis won four games for the Coach, while Dan Jackson took five for Labour Club Homeless.
