Jones leads Harriers to team prize at Deal

Simon Jones continued his fine form by finishing third in the Deal Half Marathon on Sunday. The Canterbury Harrier, who was runner-up in the Kent Fitness League the week before, came home in 1hour 16minutes 37seconds. With Alex Horsley ninth in a personal best 1:25.03 (PB) and Dave Bowden clocking 1:27.56, Harriers claimed the men’s team prize. Mike Denson achieved a notable PB, taking seven minutes off his previous best in 1:33.24. The event attracted a field of 339 runners with Neil Renault (Edinburgh AC) retaining his title in 1:11.14.
