Christodoulou defies elements to impress

Adalta CC’S Yiannis Christodoulou took on a savage wind at the Reading half marathon but battled his way to a time of 1hour 23minutes 20seconds. Justine Beba faced similar conditions at the Hastings half marathon but finished in 1hr 56mins after pushing through the last couple of miles against the elements. Wayne Beba and Rod Archibald lined up against Pro Teams at the National B Wally Gimber road race in Frant. Over 90 miles of fast racing and brutal cross winds saw many riders retire, including Archibald, as the pace quickened on the climbs. Beba held a strong position in the bunch as breaks got away off the front resulting in him finishing 45th.
