Free champagne on offer for best KM quiz question

-

Kentish Gazette readers could win a prize for thinking up a tricky trivia question.

The challenge has been laid down by the organisers of the KM Big Charity Quiz, who are looking for questions for the Readers’ Round at a future event.

A bottle of champagne is up for grabs for the best submission.

Simon Dolby, question master for the Big Quiz, said: “We need trivia champions to get their thinking caps on. The best questions aren’t the ones that are most difficult to answer; they’re the ones where the answer is on the tip of your tongue.”

The Canterbury Big Quiz will take place at the University of Kent’s sports centre on Friday, April 21.

The event is a fundraiser for this paper’s charity of the year, Motor Neurone Disease Association East Kent, and Kent and Canterbury Hospital’s League of Friends as well as child literacy and road-safety schemes.

Teams will have the chance to take home a host of prizes, including classic collectables from Hornby.

One quiz-goer will go onstage to answer an on-the-spot question to bag a pair of Eurostar tickets.

Shepherd Neame has donated beverages for the Spitfire charity bar, which contributes largely to the success of the annual charity night.

Barclays will double the money raised, and volunteers from the bank will take on bar duties.

Other businesses supporting the event include Armadillo Self Storage, Office Angels and IMP Event Production.

To submit a question, visit kmbigquiz.co.uk and click on the ‘submit question’ button. Entries must include the information source so the question and answer can be verified.

Visit the KM Big Quiz website to book a team of up to eight and enter the £10 discount code KMNEWS17.
