Moped rider was over limit

A man caught riding a moped in the city centre while more than four times the drink-drive limit has been jailed for 120 days.

Damian Lemieszek, 29, of Pewter Court, Canterbury, was stopped by police in St George’s Street on February 26.

Tests revealed he had 153 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of his breath. The limit is 35.

He admitted drink driving and not having a licence or insurance. He was jailed and also banned from driving for four years.
