For St George

The Maidens Head pub in Wincheap is holding a St George’s Day festival on Sunday. Landlord Jeremy Stirling said: “We really think St George’s Day should be a national holiday and as such we’re having this party, which will be fun for all the family.” There will be music from local group The Quiet Americans and a hog roast from 2pm.
