Youngsters compete well in France

Herne Bay Roller Hockey Club under-13s travelled to St Omer in France for a European tournament last weekend. Up against seven other teams from France and Germany, they finished day one second in their pool after winning one game, drawing one and losing the other. A win and a draw followed on day two and Herne Bay went into a play-off for fifth place against German side Recklinghausen. Bay fought hard but the Germans won 3-2 to leave them sixth overall.
