Sailing

Eighteen boats took part in Tankerton Bay Sailing Club’s Easter Series which ended over the weekend. Eight out of the 10 scheduled races took place and the lead was hotly contested between Dart 15s, 16s and 18s, as well as Lasers and Toppers. The wind varied from Force 6 in the first weekend to next to no wind on some races, so the top three showed skill and flexibility to cope. In third place was the Dart 18 pairing of Barry Sheffield and Katie Blake, while second went to single handed Ian Mills in his Dart 15, and first, after winning five of the races in his Laser was Peter Blake. With racing, practice days, training and open days there is something happening at TBSC most Sundays until November. New members welcome.
