Holt’s hot streak sets the tone for Faversham

Faversham Swimming Club excelled at the East Invicta development meet which took place at Hartsdown Leisure Centre in Margate last weekend.
Emily Holt started the winning streak with gold medals in the 14/15 years 100m backstroke, 200m backstroke and 50m breaststroke.
She also claimed silver in the 200m breaststroke.
Nathan Williams was in terrific form, winning the 14/15 years 100m breaststroke, 200m butterfly, 200m freestyle and 100m butterfly.
Added to that, he claimed silver in the 50m butterfly, 100m freestyle and 100m backstroke and bronze in the 50m breaststroke. In the same age group, there were three golds for Eva Mcintyre – the 200m individual medley, 50m butterfly and 100m breaststroke.
Mia Kirk won a medal of each colour – gold in the 200m freestyle, silver in the 100m freestyle and bronze in the 50m backstroke.
Fave r sham’ s s i lve r medalists also included Bella Holt and Sophie Molton while Tamzin Mullins took a bronze.
Competitors from Herne Bay SC also attended the East Invicta Development meet at Hartsdown Leisure Centre bringing home 72 medals between them.
The Bay contingent claimed 16 gold, 15 silver, eight bronze and 33 place medals recording 100 personal best times.
Medal winners were Hana Allen, Isabel Barrett, Erin Charlton, Lacey Compton, Tilly Compton, Marcus Crossman, Fletcher Davey, Oliver Edwards, Freddie Evans, Emmett Holdsworth, Louis Johnson, Alyssa Kelly, Tommy Mahoney, James Page, Emily Rice, Ben Wright and Freddie Wright.
The team was supported by club captain Georgia Miles who offered valuable mentoring to Cameron Buchanan, Storm Charlton, Lottie Lindsay and Rosa Easton Millns, all of whom were new to competing at a gala.
