Talk on new communities
TV architect Ptolemy Dean is to give a talk on building new communities in Canterbury.
Mr Dean, president of the Canterbury Society, will ask what developers working on plans for the city can learn from the communities in nearby Chartham, Chilham and Wye.
The evening will include the presentation of the award of Civic Champion 2017.
Given every other year, it recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to life in Canterbury and is awarded to those involved in heritage and conservation, the local community and the civic movement.
The talk and presentation will take place at the Friends’ Meeting House, The Friars, Canterbury, at 7.30pm on Tuesday, June 27.
