Socks away

Canterbury Rotary Club has received more than 100 entries for its schools’ Innovation Competition in which young people have been tasked with coming up with useful new products.

Entries include waterproof socks, an organiser worn on the wrist, flat-pack housing, a quick-erect shelter, skateboard protection, a bluetooth mini speaker and a spaghetti fork.

The judging finals will be at Canterbury Christ Church University on June 28.
