Bay pick up awards

Herne Bay were well represented at the East Kent Short Mat Bowling Association’s annual presentation evening at Aylesham and Snowdown.

Bay entered two teams for the first time – the Hurricanes and the Spitfires – with the Spitfires finishing mid table, while the Hurricanes were crowned Division 3 champions to earn promotion.

Other league honours for Herne Bay were: men’s singles winner Dave Mason; ladies’ singles runner-up: Jacqui Cooper; triples winners: Jacqui Russell and Melissa Cooper.
