They’re creepy and they’re kooky... and they’re at the Marlowe all week

Charles Addams’ weird and wonderful family comes to life in The Addams Family musical this month.

Everyone’s best loved creepy and kooky brood will be entertaini­ng crowds at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury until Saturday.

The show brings humour with a star-studded cast - featuring Eastenders star Samantha Womack as Morticia, comedian and Coronation Street actor and presenter Les Dennis as Uncle Fester.

The show tells the story of Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, who has grown up and has a shocking secret, that only family member Gomez knows – she has fallen in love with a sweet young man from a respectabl­e family.

When the two families meet for dinner will Gomez keep his daughter’s secret from his cherished Morticia, or will there be hilarious consequenc­es?

Carrie Hope Fletcher, who comes to the show from stage shows Les Miserables and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, plays Wednesday.

Join them, Uncle Fester, Lurch, Pugsley and more for a heart-warming story of love, family and friendship with a twist.

The musical is led by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, whose credits include the book for the show Jersey Boys, with Marshall also being head writer for The Tonight Show wit Johnny Carson. The show also features a live orchestra.

The Addams Family is at the Marlowe Theatre this week to Saturday.
