Sturry continue to set the pace at the top of Division 1B East after a third win four games, beating Dover Cosmopolit­ans by 104 runs.

David Gentry hit 66, opener Stephen Lamyman (56) and David Hards (48 not out) in a total of 230- 4.

Frank Wrench’s miserly spell of 2-9 in 10 overs – six of them maidens – then stifled the visitors’ reply, managing only 126-5. Sturry lead by 12 points from Hythe Green. Opener Neil Hopkins scored 67 as Ash (204- 4) beat Nelson (202) by six wickets in Championsh­ip East.

Chris Sargent (39) and skipper Gary Laslett (37) helped in the successful run-chase, completed with 20 balls to spare.

Byron Gould made an unbeaten 88 as Littlebour­ne (140-2) got home by eight wickets at St Margaret’s (139), brother Josh claiming 4- 6 in 27 balls.

Robbie Lawson (58) and Ian Attenborou­gh (55 not out) steered Littlebour­ne 2nds (1923) to a seven-wicket win at Westgate (191) in 2A East but the 3rds finished on the wrong end of a 181-run defeat at home to Tenterden (273-3) in 1C East.

Canterbury 3rds pair Rob Marsh (3-3) and Ben Mayne (3- 6) were two other bowlers in form, helping bowl out Kennington for only 61 and set-up the 147-run victory in 1A East.

Will Trafford made 69, 14-year-old James Mcvittie 51, with Ben Rutherford adding 39 in Canterbury’s 208-5.

Kevin Hopper’s unbeaten 82, including 12 fours and a six, led the way as Street End (275-7) beat St Margaret’s 2nds (209) by 66 runs in 2B East. Kieran Dennis hit 43 as Ash 2nds (106- 4) won by six wickets at Exiles at Stelling Minnis (105).

Skipper Piers Richardson scored almost half the home side’s runs with 52.
