Driver banned

A 26-year-old drink driver has been banned and ordered to do unpaid community work.

Linda Hitchcock, of Craddock Road, Canterbury, was more than double the legal limit when she was stopped at the wheel of a Vauxhall Astra in the city’s Querns Road on March 24. She denied the charge and a further offence of driving without insurance but was convicted of both.

Medway magistrates disqualified her from driving for 22 months and ordered her to do 60 hours of unpaid work. She was also fined £170.
