Garden funds

Visitors to Canterbury Cathedral’s open garden weekend have helped raise almost £13,000 for charity. Cheques for £4,500 each were handed to Soroptimist International for its Meru Women’s garden project and the Kent Refugee Action Network. The rest has been given to the National Garden Scheme, which encourages people to open up their homes to help raise money for charity.
