What do I have to do to get bins emptied?

-

I write regarding the waste collection by Serco, or rather the lack of it. Since April 13 I have made several phone calls to Serco (costing me about £10) complaining that my garden waste bin has not been emptied for many, many weeks. On three occasions I was told I am a priority case and collection was booked for the next or following day. Needless to say nothing has happened. At present the contents of the bin are rotting and putrid and I have a further three bags of waste awaiting collection. I am over 90 years of age and have assisted collection as I am also disabled and because of this I only have a large bin and garden waste bin. The large bin is emptied regularly every two weeks, so what is the problem?

Incidentally, as my back gate has been unlocked for many weeks awaiting collection, someone entered my garden the other night and stole a very large copper vessel which was holding plants, which they dumped nearby.

At my age I can do without all this hassle, but what do I have to do to get my bin emptied? Enid Lazell Pine Tree Avenue, Canterbury
