Canterbury bowler Peter Foster has won through to the National Finals.
The 24-year-old beat 20 other bowlers in his last year of the under-25 competition and secured a place in this year’s National Finals at Leamington Spa.
Meanwhile, Canterbury won through to the third round of the Bernard Annand Shield by beating Birchington 46-30. Rinks: Dave Rickard, Bryan Nicholson, Colin Strouts, Dave Todd won 30-14; Chris Dawson, Roger Blissett, John King, Malcolm Nicholson drew 16-16.
Despite sharing the rinks, Canterbury won against Cliftonville by seven shots overall in the East Kent Mixed Triples League.
