Inn’s award for ending 12 years of dominance

The Hampton Inn picked up the top team gong at the finals and presentation night for the Herne Bay & District Winter Darts League 2016/17 season.
They picked up their Premier Division winners prize, at the Angling Club on Monday night – their first ever league title – ending the Divers Arms’ streak of 12 consecutive titles, condemning them to second place.
The Ken Cattell Team Cup was an all-smugglers Inn affair, the Smugglers Inn B winning the final against last year’s winners, the Smugglers Inn A.
The main individual prize, the Open Singles KO was won by Mike Brett of the Angling Club who won a superb final 3-1 against Chris Howard of the Divers Arms.
Howard had taken a 1-0 lead but Brett came from behind to win.
Also played on the night, the Open Pairs K/O trophy was won by Smugglers Inn B pairing of Jordan Dadd and Benn Swinfield, who won 3-0 against Chislet Colliery Club pair James Wells and Ross Llewellyn.
New to the Premier next season will be the Chislet Colliery Club who won Division 1 and they will be joined by the Angling Club B who claimed the runners-up spot in the last game of the season.
The Angling Club B won the Team Plate K/O, defeating Druids Head in the final.
There were even more awards for the Hampton Inn as Paul Dawkins won the Premier Division singles title and landed the most maximum 180s trophy, with a new record 33 maximums and the most 100-plus checkouts trophy.
The Smugglers Inn B’s fine season was completed by Chris Dadd winning the Highest Checkout trophy, a superb 170.
