Top DJS at pop-up party in aid of terror attack victims

-

A ‘pop-up’ party is being held in Canterbury on Saturday night to raise money for the British Red Cross.

Planet Paraiso will feature some of the country’s top DJS, including headline acts Pete Dorling and Kinnerman, who will bring their unique blend of house and techno.

The charity night at the Penny Theatre in Northgate is being organised by Nic James from Halling who runs Planet Paraiso and was moved to put on the fundraiser to help the victims of terror attacks in the UK.

Pete Dorling and Kinnerman’s music has gained support from some of the top DJS in industry and had airplay on stations such as Radio 1.

The complete line-up will also feature local artists K&K, FGTN Toys, Cedric Carr, Atlas 808, Cadence and Ian Dunne.

Mr James said: “I work in London and was close by when the 7/7 bombs went off in Tavistock Square.

“So I know very well of the devastation caused and loss of life.

“When I was watching the ‘One Love’ Ariana Grande concert, it moved me to tears, but showed me that as a nation we come together in times like this and are strong despite such tragedies.

“I thought then that I wanted to do something to help raise money and awareness and the need to stand together and be strong.

“Then just weeks later we suffered another fatal blow in the London Bridge attack.

“On that day I decided to put on an event, as music is one medium that brings people together.

“So I found a supportive venue in Canterbury in the Penny Theatre and DJS willing to give up their time to put on an event.”
