A blistering knock from Buzz Gould kept Championship East leaders Littlebourne on course for title glory as they eased to an emphatic victory over St Margaret’s.
The Bourne opener hit 10 fours and 13 fours on his way to 163 not out from 81 balls as the home side chased down a target of 208 in 19.3 overs and for the loss of only one wicket.
Gould’s opening partner Owen Holton contributed just 17 to an stand of 116, with Sully Gould making 21 not out as he and his brother added 96 unbroken.
Jack Parr (3-31 from 12 overs) had earlier helped restrict St Margaret’s to 207-6.
Bourne hold a 14-point lead over closest rivals Cobham with four matches to go.
Ash had Nelson 57-4 from 17.3 overs (Tom Laslett 3-23 from eight overs) when their game was abandoned while in 1A East, Canterbury 3rds were 12-1 from 3.1 overs when their match against Kennington was called off.
Faversham 2nds endured a difficult day with the bat against Stonehouse in 1B Central being dismissed for 57 on the way to a 111-run defeat.
Skipper Peter Thompson (15) and Rupert Howe (13) were the only players to make double figures for Faversham who played one short.
Thompson (3-18 in five overs), Howe (2-17 in eight) and Freddie Fulton (2-29 in three) had earlier led the Faversham attack as Stonehouse reached 168-9.
Sturry were 51-4 from 15 overs when their game against Dover Cosmopolitans in 1B East was called off, while in 1C East, the match between Ash 2nds and Exiles-at-stelling Minnis was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
Littlebourne 3rds were restricted to 84-7 in 32 overs by Tenterden 3rds who then eased home by eight wickets in 15.4 overs (Stuart Mears 2-24 in 7.4 overs).
Littlebourne 2nds were 25-1 in five overs against Westgateon-sea 2nds when the rain arrived to bring their game in 2A East to a premature halt.
Whitstable 3rds conceded their game in 2B East at Herne Bay and Street End were handed a walkover by hosts St Margaret’s 2nds.
