Egerton’s defeat (see story above) enabled Harbledown to return to the top of Division 1 after a one-week absence.

Led by Gavin Dixon (5-15 in eight overs), they hurried strugglers Selling out for just 85 (Ollie Lane 23). Robert Campbell took 3-12 in five overs and Jake Guinan 2-18 in nine.

Openers Jonathan Showler (47 not out) and Guinan (25) then made light work of the chase, the home side reaching their target for the loss of two wickets, in 9.1 overs.

Half-centuries from Ed Laslett (59) and Diccon Stubbings (56 not out) were not enough to save Ash from a 54-run defeat against Leeds & Broomfield.

The home side closed on 195-8 in reply to the Leeds total of 249-8. Matt Hammond’s 112 helped Sheldwich to a matchwinning total of 245-7 against Wye. Dan Ray added 49, Conner Hicklin 33 and James Creed 27.
