Artichoke A remain clear of Dove Inn B ahead of the two meeting this week In the Canterbury & District Premiershi­p. The Choke defeated Golden Lion B 2-0, thanks largely to Graham Snow hitting 40 runs. Not to be outdone, Willie Gough hit 43 in the first leg in reply. On the trap front, Tony Jenner took four and Jay Jay Clements three but it was not sufficient to see off the Choke, Spencer Snow replying with a hat-trick. Dove Inn B kept up the chase by seeing-off the Golden Lion A. Gentil Knyght C came away from the Catholic Club with all three points. Ben Foster hit 23 and Melvyn Austin 15 not out in the first leg. The second leg ended 101-100 in favour of the C team. Asa John top scored with 48 runs in the second leg, while the Catholics’ four tailenders hit 62 with Alan Spratt contributi­ng 25. Dover Castle moved up to fourth by beating Littlebour­ne Rec 2-0. In Division 1, Gentil Knyght B remain top by two points with four league games remaining. They won 2-0 at Market Inn B, with Ben Smith hitting 41 runs, Scott Watson taking three traps and Chris Belsey getting caught out. In reply, Dan Lawrie top scored with 17 and Ian Lawrie took three traps for the Inn. Smugglers B moved back into second place with a 2-0 home victory over Castle A. Shane Wilson helped their win with 38 runs and team-mate Martyn Crocker bowled out three opponents. Market Inn A moved up to fourth spot by beating Two Brothers at the Kings Head. Ian Dennett hit 25 in the second leg and Kevin Burden took three traps for the Inn, Mick Webber took four traps in reply for the Brothers. Division 2 leaders Faversham Town FC remain three points clear as they saw off Red Lion B 2-0. Castle B kept up the chase with Bob Mason hitting 44, Shaun Gore knocked-up 24 in the second leg and Jamie Rigden took four opponents out as they beat the Alma A 2-1. Gary Armstrong scored 27 runs in the second leg. Shipwright Arms won 2-0 at Evenhill Crusaders A to move up to third. Red Lion A are off the bottom by winning 2-0 at home to Kestrels. Anchorman Adam Edwards won both legs with not outs of nine and three to secure the victory. Golden Lion C moved up to second in Division 3 with a 2-0 away win at the Dove Inn A. Evenhill Crusaders B defeated Artichoke B 2-0 in Chartham to remain top, while bottom side White Horse, Bridge, moved up to sixth after their second win of the season as they beat Two Brewers A 2-0. Dave Norris hit 22 in the second leg for the Horse. In the Skam Plate quarterfin­al between Freewheel and Huntsman & Horn, Freewheel came out on top 2-1.
