Ar­ti­choke A re­main clear of Dove Inn B ahead of the two meet­ing this week In the Can­ter­bury & District Premier­ship. The Choke de­feated Golden Lion B 2-0, thanks largely to Graham Snow hit­ting 40 runs. Not to be out­done, Wil­lie Gough hit 43 in the first leg in re­ply. On the trap front, Tony Jen­ner took four and Jay Jay Cle­ments three but it was not suf­fi­cient to see off the Choke, Spencer Snow re­ply­ing with a hat-trick. Dove Inn B kept up the chase by see­ing-off the Golden Lion A. Gen­til Knyght C came away from the Catholic Club with all three points. Ben Foster hit 23 and Melvyn Austin 15 not out in the first leg. The sec­ond leg ended 101-100 in favour of the C team. Asa John top scored with 48 runs in the sec­ond leg, while the Catholics’ four tailen­ders hit 62 with Alan Spratt con­tribut­ing 25. Dover Cas­tle moved up to fourth by beat­ing Lit­tle­bourne Rec 2-0. In Divi­sion 1, Gen­til Knyght B re­main top by two points with four league games re­main­ing. They won 2-0 at Market Inn B, with Ben Smith hit­ting 41 runs, Scott Wat­son tak­ing three traps and Chris Belsey get­ting caught out. In re­ply, Dan Lawrie top scored with 17 and Ian Lawrie took three traps for the Inn. Smug­glers B moved back into sec­ond place with a 2-0 home vic­tory over Cas­tle A. Shane Wil­son helped their win with 38 runs and team-mate Mar­tyn Crocker bowled out three op­po­nents. Market Inn A moved up to fourth spot by beat­ing Two Brothers at the Kings Head. Ian Dennett hit 25 in the sec­ond leg and Kevin Bur­den took three traps for the Inn, Mick Web­ber took four traps in re­ply for the Brothers. Divi­sion 2 lead­ers Faver­sham Town FC re­main three points clear as they saw off Red Lion B 2-0. Cas­tle B kept up the chase with Bob Ma­son hit­ting 44, Shaun Gore knocked-up 24 in the sec­ond leg and Jamie Rig­den took four op­po­nents out as they beat the Alma A 2-1. Gary Armstrong scored 27 runs in the sec­ond leg. Ship­wright Arms won 2-0 at Even­hill Cru­saders A to move up to third. Red Lion A are off the bot­tom by win­ning 2-0 at home to Kestrels. An­chor­man Adam Ed­wards won both legs with not outs of nine and three to se­cure the vic­tory. Golden Lion C moved up to sec­ond in Divi­sion 3 with a 2-0 away win at the Dove Inn A. Even­hill Cru­saders B de­feated Ar­ti­choke B 2-0 in Chartham to re­main top, while bot­tom side White Horse, Bridge, moved up to sixth af­ter their sec­ond win of the sea­son as they beat Two Brew­ers A 2-0. Dave Nor­ris hit 22 in the sec­ond leg for the Horse. In the Skam Plate quar­ter­fi­nal be­tween Free­wheel and Hunts­man & Horn, Free­wheel came out on top 2-1.
