Win sees Premier status maintained
St Lawrence & Highland Court ladies completed a double over Ansty ladies, winning by 41 runs to preserve their Women’s Cricket Southern League, Premier status. After losing the toss and being put in by their Sussex hosts, Saints scored over 200 for the first time this season, finishing on 201-9 from their 50 overs. Maxine Blythin (71) scored her third half-century in as many matches and put on 103 for the first wicket with Emma Marsh (29), while Emily Thompson compiled 54 not out as seven wickets fell around her for just 60 runs. In reply, the hosts reached 108-1 but Saints took the final nine wickets for just 52 runs, bowling Ansty out for 160 in 47 overs. Charlotte Pape took 3-20 off 10 overs with support from Lucy Arman (2-20) and Elysa Hubbard (2-32), while Blythin and Thompson each took two catches. Shooters Hill v Hartley Country Club 4ths.
