Littlebour­ne Rec travelled to top-of-the-table Artichoke A and put a dent in their Premiershi­p title hopes with a surprise 2-0 win. Golden Lion A dented Gentil Knyght C’s hopes of a top-two finish with an impressive bowling performanc­e in their 2-0 victory. Lion’s Andy Minter and Rick Eames both took three traps in five bowls, with the latter getting a hat-trick. Dove Inn B moved up to second place with a 2-0 victory over Golden Lion B. Matt Tuff took three traps for the Dover Castle but it was not enough to prevent a 2-0 defeat to the Catholic Club who were helped by Simon Spratt’s five traps and Martin Whale taking four. In Division 1, Smugglers remain top after defeating the Market Inn B 2-1. Chris Howard took four traps while Paul Keegan hit the winning 23 not out in the third leg. Ian Lawrie replied with five traps for the Inn. Gentil Knyght B kept up the chase with a 2-1 away win against the Compasses. Andy Dixon top scored with 38 runs and was backed-up by Steve Smith and Scott Watson who took three traps each for the Knyght. Josh Steele put up a valiant fight, scoring 30 runs and taking out four Knyghts. Faversham Town FC were promoted to Division 1 after seeing off the Alma A 2-0. Mark Medley, Alan Coleman and Steve Miles shared 10 traps to lead the Town charge. Castle B are hot on their heels after a 2-1 triumph over the Kestrels. Shaun Gore took three traps while team-mate Bob Mason hit a 25 in the third leg. Kestrels skipper Steve Burden hit 32 runs, including 19 not out in the first leg. In Division 3, Evenhill Crusaders B won 2-1 at the White Horse despite the Horse’s David Norris hitting 29 in the first leg and taking traps in his first three bowls. Second-placed Golden Lion C lost 2-0 against the Two Brewers while Huntsman and Horn won 2-1 away against the Freewheel.

The Skam Cup final will be between Dover Castle and Faversham Town FC after they saw off the Golden Lion B and the Catholic Club respective­ly. Gentil Knyght B secured their place in the Skam Plate final after a 2-0 victory against the Market Inn A. Clive Jemmett (27) and Lindsay Burden (23) starred before Tony Weston held his nerve, going in at No.8 and hitting the 12 runs needed to secure victory.
