Drugs charge duo

Two men arrested in Whitefriars have been charged as part of a police crackdown on drug dealing.

The pair were searched in Gravel Walk, Canterbury, on Wednesday, October 18.

Brian Godoy, 21, and David Toapanta Sanchez, 22, both of no fixed address, have since been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and heroin. Sanchez was also charged with having a knife.

Both were remanded to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on November 16.

The arrests were part of a week-long police operation to tackle drug and violent crime in east Kent. A total of 16 people were arrested and drugs with a street value of £9,500 were seized.
