No comfort from NHS bosses at meeting
On Saturday I attended a public meeting organised by that excellent voluntary organisation, Concern for Health in East Kent (Chek), and addressed by representatives of Chek and the east Kent Hospitals trust.
Chek gave a presentation that put East Kent NHS at the very bottom of the national performance league tables in England for a number of essential services. East Kent is getting a far lower standard of health care than the rest of England.
That is not only a scandal, but a matter of the gravest concern to individuals to whom medical care can be a matter of life and death. By that I mean everyone.
