The Oyster were in dominant form in their friendly against Winget, winning on all six rinks to triumph 154-72 on aggregate. Joy Moran, Gavin Moran, Russell Feast and Alan Kent recorded the biggest win, 33-7. Rink details Anne Tanson, Fred Goodger, Alison Macdonald, Maurice Odell won 20-17; Lynda Balding, C. Newell, Mo Gray, John Stroud won 24-14; Richard Whybrow, Caroline Jordan, David Newell, Dot Morris won 20-10; Barbara Mcgillicud­dy, Phil Jordan, Brian Watson won 31-14; Joy Moran, Gavin Moran, Russell Feast, Alan Kent won 33-7; Malcolm Scott, Diana Whybrow, Gordon Bourn, Janet Whitbread won 26-10. The ladies travelled to The Angel, Tonbridge, in the Kent League and won on five of the six rinks to secure a 135-101 victory which earned them nine points. Ann Moon, Gloria Clark, Dawn Harris and Sue Swan led the way with a 31-13 win, while the games featuring Carol Field, Sylvia Sweeting, Madelene Mcconomy, and Sheila Bartholome­w, and Shirley Fey, Marion Harrison, Pam Dennett, and Hilary Avis both finished 20-19 in favour of the visitors. Rink details Diana Whybrow, Sheila Tibby, Penny Perkins, Janet Drewitt lost 29-16; Carol Field, Sylvia Sweeting, Madelene Mcconomy, Sheila Bartholome­w won 20-19; Shirley Fey, Marion Harrison, Pam Dennett, Hilary Avis won 20-19; Pauline Hogston, Elaine Milliner, Eunice Holder, Janet Whitbread won 28-9; Ann Moon, Gloria Clark, Dawn Harris, Sue Swan won 31-13; Jan Turner, Jacqueline Harvey, Joyce Whitlock, Jan Allen won 20-12. The men’s Kent League match against Thanet saw rink honours shared, but the Oyster won 115-95 overall to claim seven points. Highest scoring rink were Keith Dennett, Ray Chipperfie­ld, Ron Clee and Brian Watson who beat their opponents 23-9. Sunday saw the ladies host the Kent County Ladies IBA with members from various clubs playing against the Oyster. who won on three rinks, but lost overall 169-110.
