Bay take third place

Herne Bay FC’S walking football team finished third in the WFA over 50s National Finals in Solihull. Bay opened their round robin campaign with a 1-0 win over Stroud, Neil Davey getting the decisive goal. But they went down by the same margin to Leggy Mambo’s whose long unbeaten record they had taken in the 2016 finals and to Birmingham WFC. Bay then met Stroud again in the third place play-off and emerged triumphant 2-0, thanks to goals from Davey and David Gilham.
