High­land folk band’s gig

Fiery High­land five-piece band Ele­phant Ses­sions will be per­form­ing as part of Can­ter­bury Christ Church Univer­sity’s Folk in the Barn.

The group, which fuses rich folk and trad in­flu­ences with rock, funk and elec­tron­ica, has per­formed in­ter­na­tion­ally and was re­cently nom­i­nated as Live Act of the Year at the MG Alba Scots Trad Mu­sic Awards 2016. They will be ap­pear­ing at Barista & Baker, CCCU SU, St Ge­orge’s Place, on Sun­day and will be sup­ported by univer­sity stu­dents S3A, Evi­ette and Me­gan Wardroper.

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
