The ladies of the Oyster IBC enjoyed a good week in the Kent League, starting with a 157-89 home win over Prince Arthur, Gillingham. The Oyster won on five of the six rinks to pick up nine points, with Ann Moon, Alison Mcdonald, Anita Harding and Eunice Holder handing their opponents a 40-12 defeat. Christianne de Weduwe, Janet Whitbread, Ros Cheeseman and Hilary Avis eased home 34-7, while in contrast, Carol Field, Sylvia Sweeting, Beverley Schulz and Jacqueline Harvey were pushed all the way before emerging the victors, 23-22. Rink honours were shared but the Oyster took seven points to Bromley’s three. Debbie Good, Sheila Tibby, Joyce Whitlock and Hilary Avis had the best win, 33-14.
