Dominant Divers continue to dictate at top

Herne Bay & District Winter Darts League leaders Divers Arms maintained their impressive lead with a 10-1 home win over Catholic Club.

Singles wins for Chris Howard and Paul Knight secured the win with further victories for Mike Cattell, Dan Cameron, Mark Sayer and Anthony Crocker.

Hampton Inn moved up to second after a 11-0 win at Whitstable Labour Club.

Clive Johnson, Paul Dawkins, Steve Coker, Paul Furner, Andy Smith and Steve Moys all won their singles matches.

The Rising Sun moved up to ninth after a 7-4 win against Chislet Colliery Club.

Chislet were leading 3-2 going into the singles and extended that lead when David Hards won the opening game.

Charles Gillibrand, Nigel Grace, Dan Chance, Graeme Poynter and Mike Tucker all won their singles matches for Rising Sun to give them the win.

Angling Club A had a 6-5 win at Smugglers Inn A. The teams went into the last singles game 5-5 with Gary Keeley holding his nerve to give Anglers the win.

Smugglers B had a 9-2 win at Heron after singles wins for Chris Dadd, Keith Ralph, Richard Stevens, Benn Swinfield and Jordan Dadd.

Dave Kirby clinched the deciding singles game to secure a 5-4 win for Bull B at home to Three Horseshoes A in the Faversham League.

Shoes started well, winning all three doubles games before Bull won the first four singles. Tom Smith brought the match all square at 4-4 before Kirby won the decider. Market B had a 5-4 win at home the Three Tuns, thanks to singles wins from Paul Jones, Craig Preston and Kiah Lee.

Clive Pout and Louis Reynolds had singles success for Tuns.

The Railway had another solid home performanc­e with a 7-2 win against Rugby Club while Castle A had a 9-0 win at Queens Head.

Castle B had a 6-3 win at home to Brents Tavern and were able to clinch victory after taking the opening three singles matches.

There was also a 6-3 win for Market A against the Football Club. Market led 3-0 after the doubles matches thanks to 180s for Darren Butcher, Jordan Dadd and Pat Clancy.

The teams shared the singles matches to give Market the win. There was also a win for Three Horseshoes B at home to Bull A. They won all the doubles matches and then the singles were shared three apiece to make the final score 6-3.
