DARTS: PRESTON TAKES IT TO THE MAX AS DOUBLES FINALS NIGHT LINE-UP IS COMPLETED

Craig Preston hit two maximums as he and playing partner Jordan Harding booked one of the four spots available for Faversham Darts League’s doubles finals night. Preston and Harding came through at the Railway Hotel after defeating Leory Partis and Mike Cooper in the venue final. The Bull qualifier was won by Chris Bedo and Neil Cole who beat Ant Halls and Richard Annand in the final having knocked out Shaun Gore and Ian Frost in the semi-finals. Phil Nutting scored a maximum. At the Rugby Club Nobby Gore and Paul Jones were the qualifiers, beating Shane Love and Jamie Preston in the final. Love provided one of the night’s highlights checking out on 119. Peter Davies and Jordan Dadd emerged triumphant at the Castle Inn, just edging out Steve Parker and Justin Knaves in the final. n A charity event organised by the Canterbury Darts League,raised £200 for Community Puts Back, taking the total raised for the organisati­on past the £1,000-mark. The dartathon, featured seven events with prizes given to those using the least amount of darts to complete victories. The winner in each category received a prize, donated by sponsors. Winners on the night included Clive Johnson (501 and split 11), Ben Cooper (301), Steve Clark (1-20 big section), Paul Bunting (Eye of the 20 ), Wayne Stemp (1-20 small segments), and Kapper (Bullseye challenge). Overall winner David Hards received a trophy from Godden Darts. He also picked up the singles title for the Air Ambulance charity night.
