Duo grab trebles as Bourne stretch lead at the top Sunday football

Two players grabbed hat-tricks as Littlebour­ne strengthen­ed their position at the top of Herne Bay and Whitstable Sunday League Division 1 with an 8-4 home win over A1 Tyres.

Robbie Loomer and Daniel Wells both scored trebles, with Nathan Perry and Dom Hooper completing the scoring for Bourne whose victory moved them six points clear.

Faversham Strike Force are up to third after a 3-0 win over Blean Sunday.

Ollie Brown, Jake Mills and Bolton were their marksmen.

Heron Athletic beat City Lions 2-0 while Woodmans Hall edged Oare 3-2 with goals from Tyla Clements, Carl Suter and Nathan Pout.

Monument PFC’S interest in the Kent Premier Cup is over after they lost 3-1 to Bradstow Albion. Ashley Kohler scored their consolatio­n.

With Monument on cup duty Premier Division champions Rising Sun took the chance to move three points clear by beating Chislet 6-0.

Stacy Davis and Jake Gess both struck twice with Sam Hallett and Wayne Fittall also on target.

Wingham won 5-1 away to Hampton while Chartham triumphed by the same scoreline against Waterfront.

Tankerton Royals were the day’s other victors, goals from Nick Gardiner (2), Joe Walker and Lewis Heard securing a 4-3 win over Crusaders who replied through Josh Charlton, Scott Crane and David Crane.

Herne Bay Athletic moved to second in Division 2, beating Druids 3-0 while The Heron are out of the bottom two, after handing fellow strugglers Bay United a 3-1 defeat.
