Attitude has to be right

-

Andy Pratt hailed his team’s attitude ahead of Saturday’s excellent win at Clifton and now wants more of the same as Canterbury begin a run of games against sides at the foot of National 2 South. Canterbury’s 39-17 victory at Clifton was their first in 11 seasons there and strengthened their position in the play-off spot. But head of rugby Pratt says his players need to adopt exactly the same mindset when they face lowly Birmingham and Solihull at the Marine Travel Ground on Saturday. Canterbury’s two games after that are against Guernsey and London Irish Wild Geese, both of whom are also in the bottom three. Pratt said: “The lads understood that Clifton was a big match. “We’d not done brilliantly down there, it’s a tough place to go, the sort where we could have lost points, but their attitude all week was good, they prepared well and they were focused in the warm-up. “It was a good win, and another difficult game out of the way but we had to remind them, it’s back to work because we’ve still got plenty of other big games coming up.” Canterbury remain unbeaten at home this season and won 31-17 at Birmingham in October, but Pratt says they remain dangerous opponents. He added: “They’re a capable side and they’ve still got plenty to play for. They’ll probably think they’ve got nothing to lose so we need to make sure we to get our mindset right.”

floor. The four bedrooms are on the first floor with three bathrooms. An attic room is tucked into the roof. The large gardens have mature trees, a sun terrace and a pond. Dee Ryall, of Jackson-stops, says: “Crossways is a striking and substantial detached family home set in around 0.82 of an acre in a much sought-after residential area of Canterbury.”
