Herne Bay’s men’s Legends reached the semifinals of the over-40s Tier 3 Championships with a 10-0 win against Woking. A Simon Newman-collins hat-trick, braces from Lee Gardiner, Barry Black and Paul Mcvey, and a goal from Matt Young set up a home meeting with Chester on March 24. Bay’s men’s 4ths, meanwhile, beat Blackheath Dynamos 5-1 to remain top of the Kent Open Division 2 table thanks to goals from Ada Hawkes, George White, Jay Newell, Kenny Mcmahon and Alfie Forbes. Elsewhere the men’s 2nds lost 4-1 to Canterbury 4ths, while the ninth-placed 5ths suffered a 2-1 defeat to Gillingham Anchorians 4ths in Open Division 3.
