Oyster IBC ladies dominated their Kent League meeting at home to Royal Tunbridge Wells, winning 130-84. The quartet of Ann Moon, Chris Appleton, Madeline Mcconomy and Dawn Harris achieved the biggest winning margin, 32-11. Barbara Jarrett, Alison Mcdonald, Barbara Grundy and Hilary Avis were 28-14 winners, while Sylvia Sweeting, Diana Whybrow, Joyce Whitlock and Sue Swan triumphed 18-11. Caroline Jordan, Janet Gray, Carole Nelson and Maggie Dellard claimed their rink 22-17, before Yvonne Mann, Ruth Emert, Penny Perkins and Janet Drewitt sealed the nine points with a 14-13 scoreline. Oyster’s ladies lost just one of their six rinks overall, with Pauline Hogston, Janet Pamphilon, Sheila Bartholome­w and Jan Allen beaten 18-16. The men’s team meanwhile picked up no points as they suffered a 156-77 defeat to Dartford Stone Lodge. Peter Hogston, John Chase, Keith Dellard and John Day went down 21-18. Gordon Bourn, Paul Drane, David Charlton and Brian Watson lost 37-5, while Maurice Odell, David Appleton, David Turner and Ian Burton were beaten 23-15. There were also defeats for Les Bartholome­w, Noel Henry, Carl Akers and Alan Cornfoot 31-13, Peter Needham, Bernard Woodhams, Graham Lucas and Brian Gambrill 22-10, and Mervyn Gulvin, Mo Gray, Peter Boeg and Brian Gentle 22-16. n Chislet Cavaliers Labradors and Macknade Monarchs both won a match each, gaining six points.
