Ashow home is now open at Boughton Park, a Fernham Homes development in the pretty village of Boughton Monchelsea, near Maidstone. The development has 20 four and five-bedroom homes starting from £399,995.

All have garages and private gardens. Kitchens come with integrated Bosch appliances and quartz worktops. Prices include a 10-year NHBC warranty. Lynne Smith, of Fernham Homes, says: ““When it comes to location, Boughton Park has it all. There’s a thriving village community and a great school you can walk to. “Bustling Maidstone is just up the road and is ranked in the top five shopping areas in the South East. Planned improvements to the already excellent rail service, which will make commuting into London a breeze, are only going to increase the appeal of Boughton Park.”

The five-bedroom, three-storey, show home is the five-bedroom Redwood housetype.

It has open-plan living space on the ground floor, with a utility and downstairs cloakroom. Bi-fold doors open from the lounge area into the garden. First floor has a separate living room, master bedroom with en suite and two further bedrooms with family bathroom.

On the top floor are two bedrooms, one with balcony and en suite.

Four of this Redwood housetype are available now, priced from £599,995. Government-backed low deposit scheme Help to Buy is available on some plots and this developer runs its own part exchange and assisted move schemes.

A sales and marketing suite and the show home are open daily from 10am to 4pm.

Charlotte Alexander, 30, and her partner Chris Yates, 31, recently purchased a three-bedroom home at another Fernham Homes development, Pearsall Place, at Borough Green, near West Malling.

Both work in London, Charlotte as an executive assistant at a financial services company and Chris as an insurance broker for private medical insurance.

Charlotte had previously owned a shared ownership flat in nearby Dunton Green.

Charlotte says: “We wanted to move into a new-build property so that everything would be already done and we wouldn’t need to do any work on the home.

“It’s so quiet, that sometimes if we’re at home during the day you can’t hear anything except the birds.”

The couple were also pleased to be within walking distance of Borough Green mainline station.

Pearsall Place is now all sold.
