Knife seized after fight
Police called to a fight in Canterbury were reportedly surrounded by a group of youths after finding themselves outnumbered. British Transport Police revealed details of the incident, which happened in Longport just before 8pm on Tuesday, on Twitter. They wrote: “Officers spotted a fight. As they got out to intervene one male threw a bag in a bush in an attempt to hide it, he was searched and found in possession of the knife. “Officers were then outnumbered by the group of youths who surrounded them and had to call for assistance.”
A boy, 17, was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. He remains in custody.
