St. Stephen’s Junior School are looking to appoint a Catering Manager with the responsibi­lity for a large junior school, nursery and extended schools facility. We require someone with previous experience in school catering, ideally having achieved the Level 3 food safety catering certificat­e. You will be a highly effective manager with excellent organisati­onal and interperso­nal skills and looking to achieve and enhance the high quality catering provision already enjoyed by both children and staff. Line Management duties will include kitchen staff.

You will have the vision and expertise to extend and develop Catering across the school and be a key member of the school’s highly motivated and friendly team. You may have other qualificat­ions including COSHH, Food Hygiene and Health and Safety but these are not essential and can be obtained after starting employment. You will however need knowledge of the nutritiona­l requiremen­ts of children and have a proven track history of producing a high volume of meals to the exceptiona­lly high quality that we expect.

The position is for 32.5 hours (full time = 37 hours per week) and term time only, plus one extra week (39 weeks per year). 8.30am – 2.30pm daily.

Salary is paid on Kent Range 6 (20,585 - £22469) pro rata to 32.5 hours.
