New leaders Littlebour­ne hit six of the best Leading sides register victories

The resumption of the Canterbury & District League on Saturday saw Littlebour­ne move to the top of the Premier Division after beating previous leaders The Bull 6-0.

The home side led 2-0 at the break thanks to Danny Bangs and Robbie Loomer before Matt Martin (2), Craig Swann and a Matty Hart own goal completed the scoring for the Villagers.

Chilham are third after a comprehens­ive 6-1 win over University of Kent Monument at Branch Road. Ben Walsh (2), Joe Mort, David Nugent, Sam Williams and an own goal were the marksmen for Roger Hopkins’ side who also saw his keeper Jim Wilson save a penalty. Wingham had an entertaini­ng 5-4 win at Faversham Athletic with the visitors indebted to a hat-trick from

Brandon Crane, plus Steven Gadd and Robbie Herbert for their goals. Snowdown United moved off the bottom of the table despite having Ryan Sims sent off and throwing away a two-goal lead given to them by Kim Frost and Liam Matcham as home side Sturry Kings Rhinos fought back to earn a 2-2 draw. Cinque Ports Reserves continued their top of the table form in Division 1 after seeing off the challenge of

Woodnesbor­ough Reserves 4-0 at Marke Wood.

The Deal-based side netted through Tom Bacon, Ryan Littler-laing, Luke Mullaney and Ryan Prescott. Betteshang­er Welfare saw off the challenge of AFC Herne Bay 3-0 thanks to goals from Damion Card, Sam Plant and James Matthew. The remaining game in the division saw Minster Reserves win 4-2 at Monkton.

After a lengthy lockdown lay-off, it was business as usual for the top three sides in the Premier Division. Monument made it six wins out of six with a 4-2 defeat of Wingham with Danny Williams (2) and Carl Williams among their scorers. Littlebour­ne remain second following a 2-0 victory at Crusaders thanks to Dec Wale and Robbie Loomer.

Joe Kennett bagged a hat-trick for Rising Sun with Jack Cussen also on target in a 4-0 success at Tankerton Royals.

Three sides are locked level on 12 points at the top of Division 1. Monument Reserves lead the way after a 4-1 win at Hampton, who drop to third. Richie Martin (2) and Kyke Simmons were among their scorers. Woodmans Hall are in second as goals from Chris Braybrooke, Anthony Davies and Ky Hall sealed a 3-0 victory over Blean Sunday. Dan Hall, Tom Newing, Charlie Fournier and Greg Lee all scored as The Druids ran out 4-1 winners at City Lions, for whom Grant Best replied.

Faversham Strike Force won 2-0 at home to Chilham. Faversham Herons closed the gap on Division 2 leaders Monumnet A to three points with a game in hand after beating them 4-0.

George Gibbons, Ashley Hyrycz, Tom Phillis and Joe Spratt were all on target for Herons.

Scott Welch, Matt Beasley, Buddy Rowden scored for Bay United but they went down 6-3 to Northgate Rangers while Oyster Boys sit third following a 4-0 defeat to Canterbury Bombers.

Canterbury Toon won 6-0 at home to bottom side New Inn Palace thanks to Ben Rowley (4), Richie Lowther and Stephen Barleycorn.
