Rising Sun hit double figures

Rising Sun showed their title ambitions with an impressive 11-2 win over Littlebour­ne in the Premier Division.

Sun now trail leaders Monument by six points with a game in hand after goals from Joe Kennett (3), Danny Lawrence (3), Rob Lawrence, Michael Turner, Adam Walcott anddanny Wisker (2). Daniel Wells and Dec Wale replied for Littlebour­ne. Monument made it seven wins out of seven with a 4-1 win over Herne United, Danny Williams and Bobby Powell were among their scorers. Crusaders beat bottom side Heron Athletic 5-0 while Neil Sayer’s goal was unable to prevent Tankerton Royals from a 3-1 reverse to Wingham. Goals from Ky Hall, Kieran Amer, Tom Hammond and Steven Sparks led Woodmans Hall to a 4-1 win over City Lions in Division 1.

Tom Newing and Greg Lee scored for The Druids in a 2-0 success at Blean Sunday while there were also victories for Hampton and Monument Reserves, over Chilham and The Heron respective­ly. Faversham Herons took over top spot in Divison 2 after defeating previous leaders Monument A 5-0.

Goals from Connor Palmer (2), Billy Egleton, Tom Phillis and Ashley Hyrycz secured the points.

Tayler Martin’s goal was not enough for Bay United, as they went down 2-1 at Canterbury Toon.

Canterbury Bombers won 5-0 at Northgate Rangers while Oyster Boys beat New Inn Palace 5-2.
