YOUTH FOOTBALL: SIX-GOAL STRIKE FORCE HIT THE GROUND RUNNING

Faversham Strike Force under-15 Thunder started their season with a 6-1 win over East Kent FC.

Jack Swan slid home the opener before Harv Griffin (2) and Charlie Parker added to their tally before the break. Zak Kyle struck twice after the turnaround and Bersan Kamas was named player-ofthe-match.

Oliver Jobe and Ollie Maguire notched for under12 Lightning at Herne Bay Harriers. Player-of-the-match Sembeh Jalloh was in inspired form, making some excellent saves including a penalty. The under-10 Lionesses hosted Anchorians Halos. Violet Neale and Ocean-marni Pankurst were players-ofthe-match for their great defensive work.

Sangive Giridharen was on target for under-10 Thunder against East Kent Rhinos. William Perkins and Harry Peters were rocks throughout. Under-9 Lightning started life in the East Kent Youth League against Whitfield Juniors. Player-of-the-match Reuben Wilkinson scored and assisted two goals before half-time, while Ellison Gashi, Kian Gardener, Elliott Jones and Finn Crawley also struck. Debutant Will Metcalfe was top player for under-9 Hurricanes against Ramsgate Silver. Nicholas Kolev calmly slotted past the keeper following an impressive counter attack.

Zakk Ellis also made his bow and scored for under-9 Thunder against Woodnesborough. Freddie Parker added another. Dillan Critcher hit five for under-8 Thunder against Baypoint FC. Isaac Carrol and Ellison Sparks scored a double, with Rex Deller and Orson Perrin also netting. Player-of-the-match Hamish Allison bagged a brace for under-8 Lightning, while Jacob Owers also made a string of great saves against Whitstable Town. Further goals came from Freddie Selwood and Heinrich Olivier.

■ Herne Bay Harriers under-9s began their first season in the top division of the East Kent Youth League against Canterbury Eagles. Goals came from Michael Allen, player-of-the-match Joe Cloke, Eesa Lavrado-travers and Hugo Bousfield.
