Trevor restores his rusted Discovery 2 chassis into better-than-new condition

The chassis is repaired with some serious metal ready for the galvaniser to prolong its life

Brand new replacement Land Rover chassis are available from more than one manufacturer in the United Kingdom. In addition to all utility Land Rovers, from Series through to the last Defender models, a new chassis is also available for all models of Discovery 2. So the option is available to fit a brand new chassis to my Discovery. There is no doubt about it, new replacement chassis are wonderful to work with and to fit to your Land Rover – but a less expensive option may be to repair the original chassis and have this galvanised, if the rust hasn’t done too much damage.
