TDCI 2007 TO 2016

FOUR-CYLINDER Ford TDCI turbo-diesel (borrowed from the Transit van) matched to a six-speed gearbox and an all-new dashboard were all part of 2007’s major revamp. The loss of front air vents and the distinctive humped bonnet aren’t to everyone’s taste – and not everybody loves the transmission either – but the brilliant off-road ability remains. The original 2.4-litre engine was replaced for 2012 with a new 2.2-litre unit with better emissions. Sadly production has now ended. BUYER’S TIP: Prices (and thefts) are just going up and up.
