Not only is it £20,000 cheaper, but performance, handling and economy are all better than its big brother. Although few will ever see a greenlane run, it’s a brilliant off-road performer. Like all modern Land Rovers, it has a reputation for reliability too. BUYER’S TIP: They don’t come cheap. SPECIFICATIONS 3-litre TDV6 (254 bhp) and SDV6 (288 bhp) turbo-diesel engines; supercharged 5-litre V8 petrol (503 bhp). From 2016, Ingenium diesels: 2-litre SD4 (240bhp); 3-litre SDV6 (306 bhp).
