Russ Dykes is the chief tour guide and he has been involved in the 4x4 scene for most of his life. Prior to leading guided tours Russ ran several Land Rover dealerships in Yorkshire before setting up his own independent dealership.

Six years ago he set up Yorkshire 4x4 Treks with his daughter Libby and last year they changed the name of the business to Ardent to reflect the wide range of trips now on offer.

You don’t want to leave home without a decent First Aid Kit that will treat any emergency.

HEADTORCH

Very handy when the sun goes down. I normally attach it to the headrest when not in use so I always know where you find it.

CASIO PRO TREK WRISTWATCH

If you like the outdoors and offroading then this is the watch for you. Does everything a standard watch does and more. Still trying to teach it to fix the oil leaks on my Land Rover.

The earlier glitches we experienced with this product are now gone. Perfect for travel in Morocco and France. We love this product.

SPOT TRACKER

Fortunately, I’ve not had to use the emergency and rescue function on this yet but it does give you peace of mind when in remote and dangerous places.
